Hello! My name is Taylor B. Duncan, and I am the owner of Taylor’d Events LLC, a Black-owned and family-operated business. I’d like to share my journey in creating this business and how it works. Before that, let me introduce myself—think of this as our official icebreaker!

I am an art teacher for grades K-12, focusing primarily on younger students. Art has been my passion for as long as I can remember. Whether I'm creating something functional, decorative, or simply baking, you can always find me making something special! When I’m not busy with my crafts, I love spending quality time with my family (and friends, who are definitely part of that). You’ll meet many of them, as they play significant roles in both my personal and professional life.

If you were to ask my family to describe me, they would say I’m outgoing, funny, super creative, goal-oriented, resilient, dedicated, trustworthy, and a “bit” stubborn—though we can attribute that to my Taurus nature!

I graduated from Mount St. Joseph University, where I focused on social justice and functional art. This passion inspires me to teach in public schools, where I educate and mentor our youth.

For over six years, I’ve run a small cupcake and cake business, and I’m excited to finally dive into something I’ve always loved: event planning. My life has been a journey filled with adventures and experiences that have taught me to be adaptable and versatile—traits I look forward to bringing to your events.
